Advertising Activities Analysis has already been viewed

If you have not already been through the process of viewing the activities analysis, please visit the previous First Steps - View the Advertising Activities Analysis (Clicking this Link and the next will open a separate Browser Window).

If you just completed the previous First Steps - View the Advertising Activities Analysis, then the software application will be running with the initial screen displayed below. If the software application is no longer running, then please double-click the Advertiser Helper application icon so that it starts up and displays the following initial screen.

Using your mouse, LEFT click on the very first advertising activity - "First Steps Campaign #1" so that it is selected. After selecting, click the "Activity Detail" option in the center of the screen:

Looking at the activities hierarchy in the left side of the screen you can see that only the first 3 levels are displayed in the activity detail datagrid. It does not display detail any deeper than this. You could change this behavior by modifying the layout using the Layout Selector icon button. Also, only the "Page Views Sum" column has data, not the "Page Views" column. This indicates that the actual page views number is rolled up from a lower level advertising activity.

Using your mouse, LEFT click on the advertising ad group below - "First Steps Ad Group #1" so that it is selected. After selecting, the Activity Detail should redisplay:

Again, looking at the activities hierarchy in the left side of the screen you can see that only the first 3 levels are displayed in the activity detail datagrid on the right. Now though, you can see the actual "Page Views" count for the activity they were entered against - the online site.

Using your mouse, LEFT click on the advertisement below - "First Steps Advertisement #1" so that it is selected. After selecting, the Activity Detail should redisplay:

This time you can see that only the 2 levels are displayed in the activity detail datagrid on the right. There are no more levels deeper than these.

Using your mouse, LEFT click on the online site below - "www.advertiserhelper.com" so that it is selected. After selecting, the Activity Detail should redisplay:

At this point, we're at the lowest level of advertising activity. The "Page Views Sum" and "Page Views" column values are the same.
