Campaigns are a way to separate different areas of advertising activity focus. There is no special requirement for a campaign, other than to have a description. The primary benefit of campaigns is to allow the statistics for all the advertising activities below this to be rolled up into something meaningful, so that advertising activities of one campaign can be compared with others for analysis.
Advertising campaigns can be customized to the small business needs. They can be related to the kind of advertising such as classified ad sites, advertising fliers or purchased leads. Campaigns can be geared to the kind of client you're focused on such as a person interested in a home business or a person interested in your product. The possibilities are unlimited.

Only Ad Groups, the next level of advertising, can be added under a campaign. There is no limit to the number of ad groups which can be added.
Ad Groups can be added simply by right-clicking your mouse on the Campaign node of the activities tree. A pop up menu will display, click on the "Add Ad Groups" option. See Ad Group Maintenance for instructions on how to maintain an advertising ad group.
As with all of the advertising levels, the results of your advertising activities can be added at this level. See Enter Results for an overview.
