The main feature of Advertising Activity To-Do Task Listing is to see which activities need followup action done by you. Many classified advertising sites allow free advertising for only 30 or 60 days. At the time you post your ad, you can enter your followup date 60 days out, then you will be able to view it on this list as the date approaches.
One item of potential confusion to be aware of with this listing: The followup date is different than the statistics date. The followup date is displayed as a separate column on the report and is maintained by the corresponding activity e.g. Online Site or Sub-Market Maintenance. The statistics date is controlled by the Date Selector icon in the bottom toolbar, and controls the range of activity statistics as viewed in the Page Views column, or any of the other statistic columns.
Software Features for Advertising To-Do Tasks Listing
Followup Date and Statistics Based on Advertising Level
The Activity Analysis is integrated with the activities tree pane on the left side of the screen. As shown in the example above, the top-level Advertising Methods level is selected, giving you a statistical view of all activities. However, you could easily select a lower level in the activities tree and the activity detail would automatically change to reflect this.
Followup Date Based on Custom Date Selection
The activities displayed are based on the followup date range you enter. Simply enter a starting and ending date, then click the "Filter" button to refresh the listing:
Activity Statistics Based on Custom Date Selection
All of the activity analysis is based on the date selection you previously made. The software remembers this from screen to screen, until you change the date range to a different value. You can see the current date selection value by hovering your mouse pointer over the date selection icon:
The active date selection value can be changed simply by clicking on the date selection icon. More details can be found on this in the How to Use Date Selector.
Statistics Based on Custom Layout Selection
The columns of data included in the activity analysis, along with which levels of activity are included in the statistics can be changed by using the Layout Selector. More information can be found on this in How to Use Layout Selector. This layout customization is also remembered from screen to screen until you use it again to change the layout.
Simply click on the Layout Selector button to make any changes:
Statistics Data can be Exported
The currently defined data columns in the grid can be printed or exported to Excel for additional analysis. Many third party applications provide feature-rich methods of charting or analyzing your data. Simply export your data to one of these applications using the Excel export button:
