Ad maintenance has only one screen field as required entry: Description. The title
of the screen will change depending on whether you are adding a new contact or changing
an existing contact.
Ad Maintenance Procedure
- Enter the Ad description - This is a required entry. Description should be meaningful
to the user. All alpha-number characters are allowed.
- Enter the Ad Title - This is an optional entry. This should appear exactly as you
want sales prospects to view it. It will be used when posting your add to websites
for online internet advertising activities. All alpha-number characters are allowed.
- Enter the Ad Compensation - This is an optional entry. This should appear exactly
as you want sales prospects to view it. All alpha-number characters are allowed.
- Enter the Ad Landing Page - This is an optional entry. If you want to display a
website landing page as part of your ad copy when posting to websites for online
internet advertising activities then enter the destination URL exactly. The accept
or check-mark button to the right of your entry allows you to verify the URL works
by opening up the landing page in a separate browser window. All alpha-number characters
are allowed.
If you have enabled the the optional integrated ad tracking feature, then this landing
page URL will be used when building the tracking link which is posted to your ad.
- Enter the Ad Tracking Site - This is an optional entry. If you have enabled the
optional integrated ad tracking feature, then the site will be listed in the drop-down
box. The tracking should be selected by default. If not, simply choose it from the
drop options. are allowed.
- The URL Tracking Link is only enabled if this ad is specific to a contact (Contact2
or Contact3). It is automatically generated by clicking on the "Create Tracking
Link" button to the right. Optional Response tracking links will automatically be
created if the landing page is a Contact Page maintained by the system.
- Enter the Ad Contact Email Address - This is an optional entry. This should appear
exactly as you want sales prospects to view it. All alpha-number characters are
allowed.
- Enter the Ad message - This is an optional entry. This should appear exactly as
you want sales prospects to view it. All alpha-number characters are allowed.
- Enter up to 4 different image URL addresses - These are all optional entry. These
are images externally hosted which you want to include in an ad posting on another
site, etc..
- Enter any Notes - This is an optional entry. Any user notes can be entered here.
All alpha-number characters are allowed.
- Click on the Accept button to save any changes. Click on the Cancel button to close
without saving changes.
How to add an Advertising Ad activity
Right-click on the selected Ad Group node in the activities tree. Click on the Add
Ad option. Follow the Ad Maintenance Procedure above.
How to change an Advertising Ad activity
Right-click on the Ad node in the activities tree which you want to change. Click
on the Edit Ad option. Follow the Ad Maintenance Procedure above.
How to delete an Advertising Ad activity
Right-click on the Ad node in the activities tree which you want to remove. Click
on the Delete Ad option. Click on the "Ok" button on the Confirmation screen. WARNING!
- All advertising activities below this ad will also be removed.
